Aliza Anvari Reduced Size for SignatureAliza “Lee” Anvari is a licensed attorney in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stockton University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Ms. Anvari served as a Prosecutor in northern NH for nearly seven years, strategically prosecuting hundreds of violation and misdemeanors, juvenile-related matters and felony cases for probable cause hearings and grand jury indictments. She argued at arraignments and bail hearings, drafted legal pleadings, conducted officer examinations at administrative license suspension hearings and participated in numerous training courses.

During her time of public service, Ms. Anvari graduated from the 251ST Part Time NH Police Academy and was acknowledged for her spearheading efforts in establishing a Littleton District Mental Health Court designed to reduce recidivism, save taxpayer money and keep non-violent offenders out of jail while they undergo mental health treatment. Additionally, she was recognized and awarded citations for “Outstanding and Invaluable Service” from the Littleton Police Department in both 2010 and 2014.

Prior to serving as a Prosecutor, Ms. Anvari served as a law clerk for the Honorable Albert H. Weeks, Cheshire County Probate Judge in Keene, NH. She assisted drafting orders relating to estate planning, name changes, guardianships, parental rights, adoptions and involuntary commitments.

Ms. Anvari’s publications include numerous featured articles she published during her time as a Student Editor for The Nebraska Transcript, 2000-2003, the New Hampshire Bar Association’s NH Bar News featured article entitled “A-Ha Moments in Criminal Law,” Feb. 2012 and serving as a faculty panel member and composing materials entitled “Preparation of the Prosecution’s Case” for New Hampshire Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education training entitled “DWI Litigation: Keeping Pace with a Rapidly Changing Landscape,” May 15, 2014. She even penned homage to the passing of her beloved dog with her article for the NJ State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division “Dictum” Newsletter entitled “A Lawyer’s Best Friend,” Vol. 41, No. 2-November 2016.

At T.W. Stevens Law Firm, Ms. Anvari focuses on family law and criminal defense. She loves living in the seacoast area of NH and is mainly found at the firm’s Dover office or at local coffee houses.
